Professional Development

Educators, learn how to start a new STEM club for your students! GCM now has certified staff to train you! We can give you all the tools to successfully launch a Science Action Club or Cryptography Club at your school or organization! These are free professional development opportunities for educators.

Apply Now

Science Action Club is a nationwide STEM program for middle school youth in summer and out-of-school time. Science Action Club features three science and nature units that spark curiosity and wonder, build scientific skills, and help youth develop STEM identities.Free professional development is provided at the Glazer Children’s Museum and all student materials for your club are provided by the California Academy of Sciences and The National Girls Collaborative Project. Teachers and Afterschool Leaders: Learn to be a CryptoClub leader! Cryptography, the science of secret messages, is an intriguing STEM topic and an important application of mathematics. Leaders need not be mathematics teachers- just enthusiastic about math!

 

Field Trips
