Curiosity Corner

Kids can drive trains along winding tracks on an expansive train table, and even crawl underneath through special openings and pop up in the center to reach buildings, trees, and hidden details. Oversized, brightly colored acrylic pegs invite kids to create bold designs on a giant Lite-Brite wall. Families can gather on benches and stools for storytime, science demos, and special performances, all while admiring the colorful and striking Structural Sorcerer sculpture towering nearby.

Forts

Families can build giant forts using cozy blankets, soft pillows, and whimsical furniture. They can build an elaborate fortress, curl up with a book, or discover a magical hidden room tucked behind a wardrobe. Cozy antiques and projected “moving photographs” add an extra layer of wonder and surprise to the space.

Let’s See!

Kids can step into a world of wacky reflections and visual surprises, stretching and bending their reflections in a funhouse mirror, becoming part of a human kaleidoscope, and creating dramatic shadows with light. Children can zoom in on their own eyeball using a special camera and see it displayed on a screen, try on playful glasses designs, and experiment with how lenses bend light using water-filled orbs and Fresnel lenses.

MakeSpace

Kids can cut, glue, stack, and create with crafting supplies, cardboard, and natural materials. With support from our Playologists, children learn to use real tools like scissors and glue guns while following their own creative instincts. Families can try a new seasonal craft or activity with each visit.
