We at Glazer Children’s Museum believe that play is for everyone. We are committed to providing a place where all families can come together to play, discover, and connect with the world around them. When people play together, they develop empathy, understand each other more, and build stronger bonds. Diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion are integral pieces in shaping lifelong learners and leaders of the future. We welcome and celebrate all children and their caregivers, inclusive of: gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, culture, religion, size, age, sexual orientation, ability, neurotype, political affiliation, identity.
As of today Glazer Children’s Museum is:
- Making play diverse by welcoming all children and families to explore, learn, and play together.
- Making play equitable by removing financial barriers and providing days of free exhibit play for all children to explore GCM together, providing free field trips for Title 1 students to experience play together, and by giving kids an opportunity to imagine and create during school breaks with camp scholarships.
- Making play accessible by meeting families where they are and providing free outreach play and online learning opportunities.
- Making play inclusive by hosting sensory-friendly experiences.
We will continue to listen, research, learn, engage, reflect, and grow in this work. We are your museum, and we commit to continuing to serve as a pillar in our community where we will foster empathy, resilience, and acceptance through play.
