Team GCM member, Gift, shows us how to create a cuddly creature using a homemade loom! This simple weaving craft can be done with recyclable materials found in the home.
Materials:
- Yarn
- Cardboard
- Scissors
- Googly eyes or decoration
Instructions:
- Mark even spaces on cardboard on both ends
- Cut slits about a half-inch on each mark
- String the yarn through the slits to make “bars”
- Cut the excess strings on the back and tie into a knot
- Weave the yarn through the loop (under & over each consecutive string)
- Keep weaving until the entire loom is full
- Remove the weave from the loom
- Cut all the loops
- Tie the loose ends together
- Cut off excess strings
- Decorate!
