Play, Discover and Connect
When you bring students to the Glazer Children’s Museum, you are opening up the door to playful, hands-on exploration of language arts, social science, math, science and the arts. Now is a great time to plan next year’s field trip to Glazer Children’s Museum so your PreK through Fourth graders can participate in these programs. Learn with one of our 3 options:
Education meets entertainment in assembly-style demonstrations of STEM topics relating to museum exhibits. Assemblies last 30 minutes and take place in our Education Center on Level 3. Assemblies are included in the cost of admission, but seating is limited so pre-registration is required. Click HERE for our STEM Assembly schedule and to download Pre and Post-visit materials.
Learning Workshops are 30 minute programs, led by Museum Educators and based on Sunshine State Standards. These workshops offer a chance to have an in-depth, hands-on experience with subject matter related to museum exhibits. Workshops directly complement museum exploration and provide a chance for students to investigate exhibit topics more deeply. Multiple topics are available for students in PreK to Grades 4. Museum Missions are downloadable activity guides that help students make connections between Museum exhibits and classroom curriculum. Missions are based around basic topics, such as Math, Reading and Science, and are targeted at grade levels. Missions are to be printed by teachers and given to students on arrival at the museum. Missions are a chaperone and teacher led experience. Click HERE for more information and to download Museum Missions.
