February 2016 – The Museum is proud to partner with Tampa-Hillsborough County Library System to bring real stories from some of Tampa’s famous African American citizens. The Library System curated stories from the oral history collection that kids can experience themselves at the Museum. Kids will have their own chance to be part of Tampa’s history by recording a story of their own as part of the Library System’s digital oral history collection. Librarians will be on hand every Friday in February at Noon through 2 pm to record kiddos’ stories. Recordings will be archived in the Library collection and available to listen through the Library System’s online digital collection. Explore the world of Ann Lowe, Mary T. Cash, Willie Robinson, and Lloyd Brown through out February. Record your own story on Feb. 5,12,19,26 at Noon & 2pm.
