Get the Message is all about communication, from facial expressions to Facebook. Explore the many ways we communicate at 15 hands-on stations. Create cave art, use sign language,  explore Morse code and more! Get the Message will be in the Telemundo Tampa Exhibit Hall from February 4 – May 6. Museum Members get a chance to see this exhibit first at our special Member’s Preview, FEB 3 from 5:30-8pm.

CHANGING FACES

Rotate face parts to explore expressions. The lift of an eyebrow or the down turn of a mouth is an unspoken language that convey a thought or feeling.

PARTNERS CHALLENGE

Take turns listening and speaking. Test your communication skills as you describe your block pattern to a friend who tries to make the same pattern on the other side of a panel. Can your friend follow instructions? Slide open the panel and see!

VIA SATELLITE

Aim the satellite dishes with the joysticks to transmit an image around the world. With this model, learn how satellites send information from one side of the earth to another.

SIGN LANGUAGE

Learn American Sign Language with video demonstrations. Can you communicate using only your hands and facial expressions?
