Tampa Stories: Ann Lowe Dress Design

Anne Lowe was a local, and highly distinguished, dress maker in Tampa who was the first African American female fashion designer and owner of a store in New York. Learn more about this special lady and create your own fashion piece in this creative program to honor Black History Month and our local Tampa Stories.

Jacob Lawrence Art

This art Lab will introduce visitors to Jacob Lawrence and his dynamic cubistic style. Visitor will learn to create a narrative work of art by examining his use of shape and color.

February 20
President’s Day

Elect to come and celebrate the birthdays of some of our greatest presidents with us! Children will enjoy creating their own George Washington or Lincoln puppet in this fun, and patriotic craft program.

Weaving
Weaving is acknowledged as one of the oldest surviving crafts in the world! Children will learn about this ancient technique and create their own masterpiece, while tuning their fine motor skills.
